Greetings, I usually ask the following type of questions when dealing with my customers...
My company is looking at an NEC2000 or 2400 to purchase. One of the most important criteria we need to know (our rep was a little weak in answering) is will they support station-side T1 cards?
I an have Outbound IVR product that will need to get dial tone from the switch, connecting via station-side T1 (phone system needs to see my device as extensions). Most systems have toll fraud issue with this (trunk group a wants an outside line from trunk group b).

2400 can do station side T1, 2000 can't.
