I've come across a problem that I just can't seem to solve and would appreciate anyone's help. I've got a station in which the message light is flashing with the display showing vm. There are no messages in this mailbox. I've already left new messages and deleted them, but the light remains. This is an Elitemail using digital ports.

If this is an Iseries or aspire telephone system simply press call 1 then dial 873. This should clear your mw light.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that it's an elite 48.

see if it's a station to station message.

hit speaker then #

it should call back the person that left the message. you may have to do it more than once (depends how many messages are set)

or it may be a message set from a dss console.
=====================================

what's your display say?

what lights are lit?

blinking?

The display reads 'vm' and the message lamp is flashing along with the feature key. It looks like a message waiting from the voicemail, but there are no messages in the mailbox. I've even tried to reset the message lamp from within the mailbox.

did the # (callback) work?

if not, have you tried to leave a message then delete it to see if the light goes off?

--------------------------------------------
if you have any analog ports, you could set one as a vm port (program 7-2), then dial the message light cancel code

The # calls back voicemail, but there are no messages in the mailbox. I have left a new message and deleted it, but the message waiting is still there. The phone display reads 'vm' and the message waiting indicator light is flashing red.
Thanks for any info.

have you tried to delete the mailbox then re-add it & leave a message?

if so then you'll probably have to do the analog card thing and trick it to cancel it.

Yes, I have deleted and re-created the mailbox but that didn't work. This is the inskin voicemail not an analog integration.
