This is probably a simple question, but it has me quite stumped. The little 3.6v battery on our system died and a our phone system blanked.
Most of it is very straight forward and I got all the features working, but one! Our voicemail system is connected via two SLT ports. Those ports are not "hearing" either DTMF tones or the D-tone.
I have connected an analog phone to the system (calling from a digital phone) and confirmed that the signals are not being passed.
My question is: How do I enable the SLT ports to always receive DTMF? I am sure its somewhere in the manual, but I cannot seem to find it.
Thank you in advance. I owe you my firstborn.

If you connect a analog phone to tha port can you dial out & be called? I think you have to name the analog port a vm port in station programming MB4-?. Hope this helps.

check 4-35 needs to be set for vm
as well as 4-15,4-14,1-8-26,1-2-24,1-8-08,4-17,1-1-46/7/8,3-42,3-43,1-3-07,1-3-08,1-3-10,1-3-09,1-3-01,1-3-05,1-3-06 all of these programs deal with an analog voicemail (i'm looking at the 48/192 programming manual. i'm think the doc is right about the 4-35. some of these other programs might not be available in the level 2. i'll get my hands on one later tonight and give ya an update)

Thank you for you help already. I'll try this tomorrow. I know the SLT ports are listed at "Telephone" not "VM Ports."
The problem I had was it didn't seem to allow me to change them when I was trying today. Is there another setting that has to be changed first (ie. Class of Service or such)?
Tomorrow, I'll list all the "voicemail" memory blocks that exist for the LevelII. It is pretty limited from what I can see. Narrowing it down to about a half dozen that have any direct reference to the VM system.
Thanks again!

I'll check again tomorrow, but I believe I have checked all those settings.
It seems to go even deeper. Because if I connect an analog phone to the SLT ports and dial it. I hear voice find, but no DTMF signals are sent.
But thanks everyone for your help. I'll look through these tomorrow and see if it fixes anything.

Its WORKING! There was a misconfigured port!
DTMF signals are passing through the system fine now. I just need to make sure DTONEs are being generated to specify hangups. But as far as I can see all is well!
Thanks again everyone for your help.
