When it comes to NEC equipment, I'm somewhat lost. However I under stand basic phones setup. I a have a customer that I do some freebe work for from time to time, Thay are a non profit. thay have an Elite 192 system with 16 stations and voice mail, thay system is maxed out. I have what I think is an 8 port station card from another system. It reads ESI(8)-U10 ETU Lot-193A, Is this a plug and play card for 8 more ports. Thanks for the reply.

ESI=Electronic Station Interface

The Electronic Station Interface ETU contains eight circuits. Each circut can support one Digital Multiline Display Board, Attendant Add-On Console, Single Line Telephone adapter, Dterm Cordless Terminal, Dterm Extender or Electra Mail CTI port.

well you can plug it in hot. but it will need to be programmed up in order for it to work.

7-1 for card type

7-2 phone type (no need to change this if using digital phones. only if you plan on adding a dss or something like that)

4-10 to assign station numbers to the new ports

4-12 to program the buttons on those ports

4-01/02 day/night ringing if needed

just a whole bunch of stuff
