I have a NEC 2000IPS system that the voice mail goes out every 3 months on. The voice mail server is and external server connected to the nec via an 8CLS and a serial cable to a AP00 card for SMBI. Normally only the server requires a reset and everything is fine.

The last time that didn't work and now all the light on the 8CLS are blinking.

If your ports are blinking on the card that means they aren'y programmed in CM 10 or CM14.
Is this card in a PIM all by itself?

The unit has 2 PIM,

The lay out is as follows (Not exactly will have to update)

Anyway it's the 8cls card at PIM1 LT00 that
is connected to external voice mail system.
Use to be every 3 months we would have to reset the unit, but now the PBX it self seems to have lost the informaiton. So I am kindof wondering why it was lost in the first place and the best way to remidy this in the future.

No it's not the only card in the PIM. In that pim there is the following card
