Hello,
I have a couple of questions about the new VMP U-40 card. I am using this in an IPK system.
1) Can the network port on the front of the unit be used to configure the system? If so, what is the IP address by default? 2) Using the VM/Remote Cosession software that came with card and 57600 Baud, I can not connect to the system. I can use the same machine on an older FMS system at 19200 baud and everything works fine. Any idea. Help would be greatly appreciated! Scott

1>as far as i know it is not used.
2>there is a default logon when using the vmp that has to be put into the cosessions software. give you a hint.....has to do with tech support & voicemail (1 is the logon the other is the password. and no it's not techsupport & voicemail but it's close!)

Chris, Thanks for the reply. I did figure it out, it was the JP7 jumper. It needs to be on pins 1&2 not 2&3 (factory default to internal modem). Apparantly NEC didn't deem it necessary to put that little bit in the instructions. Scott
