What does this do? Some of the phones acquired have them. They look like headset add-ons.
I'd be interested in a solution that would output an analog line from one of the ETW-16DC phones for fax purposes, etc. Does such a device exist.
My other option is to take a pair of the wires and split them off at the jack but this would be easier. Is there a phone jack splitter which takes two pairs in one RJ11 and outputs to two female RJ11 jacks (one pins 2&3, the other 1&4)?

The Ancillary Device Connection feature allows installation of selected peripheral (ancillary) devices such as an amplified handset, headset, or external speakerphone for use on any Multiline Terminal with an optional ADA(1)-W (BK)/(SW) Unit. This feature enhances operation for which the peripheral devices are designed. A headset frees the user's hands for order entry, checking files, or other functions. The ADA(2)-W (BK)/(SW) Unit also allows connection of single line equipment such as a cordless Single Line Telephone, modem, facsimile machine, automatic dialer, or answering machine.
Hope this helps.
