What's the difference between the DTU model phones and the DTP model phones and can the DTP be used on the NEC ELite48,192 & IPK?

Not sure in the US but down in this part of the world we only use the I series DTP for the Elite and 2000 IPS systems. The DTU is not stocked . Maybe color change?? In the old E series phone days the main difference was that the DTP could be used on the PBX and the Elite but the DTU could not be used on the PBX only the Elite systems. This problem was caused by a different voltage regulator in the DTU series to that of the DTP series.. It was a marketing decision..

DTU devices are used for Elites and DTP's are for 2000/2400.
The 2000 can use the DTU's with the correct card but not the other way from what I remeber.
