Are you sure you have an available port on the phone system for a new extension? If you are sure you have the capacity for it, how familiar with programming are you? Typical commands are: 10 (for the actual Dterm), 11 (for the virtual line), 9000 (for the line key assignment), 93 (for the prime line assignment), 12 (for class/service assignment/features), 13 (for class/service assignment/features), 73 (for memory block assignment), 74 (for memory key allocation), and E6 (for call forwarding).
If you are kind of familiar with programming, but you just want to get the phone ringing, then assign the Dterm in command 10, assign the virtual in command 11, assign the prime and virtual line in command 9000, assign the prime line in 93, and assign call forwarding in E6.
If I just really confused you, just ask the forum for more explicit instructions, someone else or I will specify.
