Can I add extensions/phantom voicemails from a handset without going into CoSession? Thanks

Yes, you must log into the system mgr. box, choose administration, more then add, ect. follow the screen/voice prompts. ------------------ www.tgcommunications.net

phantom vm boxes must be set up with cosessions because if you do NOT turn off the message notify light and the transfer you are just asking for your vm port to lock up.

Originally posted by chrislebeck: phantom vm boxes must be set up with cosessions because if you do NOT turn off the message notify light and the transfer you are just asking for your vm port to lock up. You can log into each phantom mailbox and turn off notifications and transfer. It would be a pain, though, since you have to sit through the "first time enroll" wizard each time. CoSessions is a much better idea.

no way to turn off the lamp via the phone commands. that will lock up your answer/dial ports too.

I'm having problems with this also. Maybe it's just some little thing i missed as I have not been managing our store's system for too long. I have set up a mailbox at an extension which does not have a set, but I cannot call this phantom mailbox. When I try calling it, I just get error on the set.

Derek, Did you set up the phantom just in voicemail, or in the phone system too?
When do you get the error? Is it while dialing, or when you get to the main greeting and try to log into the mailbox? Is the error a "fast busy" signal?

I guess I only set up the voicemail portion. I can access the mailbox by logging in through the main greeting, but I can't direct dial the mailbox. This makes sense now, since I haven't set it up in the phone system portion, but how do I go about doing this? Thanks.
