We are contemplating upgrading our trusty Elite 192 (R8000) system to an IPK-192U (R4500) system.
I understand that with the latest software revision, the CallerID/Incoming number presentation is much improved, (showing both name, number, and DATE/TIME?). Furthermore, the ability to have users change their station name is a real plus for our installation.
Can our resident NEC experts give me their opinion on these improvements? Right now, with R8000 on the 192, CallerID doesn't show the time of the call, and sometimes, the name don't even match with the number that's been stored (ie: name got shifted with calls that don't have name displayed - from cell phones, for example.)
Many thanks.

you'll need the new spm card to replace your mifm. and an ipk cpu. the software on the spm has to be new enough in order to show the date/time/missed calls/etc/.
