HI,

have a DS2000 installed with 3.22.00

Have a 8 port analog station card installed as well.

Conference calls over 3 people result in a high pitched scream and noone can hear anyone else...or very faintly.

This happenes over the analog conference phone or over digital station....

anyone have any idea why this happens?

thanks

I was told that you can conf up to 8. But any conf call that has over 2 external parties really loses its sound quality.

Sorry folks.. DS1000 and DS2000 are limited to 3 in conference.. see exerpt from Admin manual below...

✆ Conduct a telephone meeting with inside and/or outside parties so you do not have to leave your office.
Conference lets you set up a three-way telephone conversation. To set up a Conference, you establish an Intercom or outside call, then add someone to it. You can add an outside party or an extension user.

To set up a Conference with two outside parties, your system must be equipped with loop start lines that have disconnect supervision.

You can always add a third party Conference Bridge if it is a required feature...

Talked to Dave Williams at NEC and he suggested we change the lop length in 1001 to short, since they are very close to CO. Also, we will be switching them to a t1 which I hope will also help.

CC...do you have any more info on this conference bridge? Any help would be appreciated
