Hi

Have a ds2000/intramail combo at a location. (Full Auto Attendant)S/W 3.22.00

They called me the other day and say when people call in they dial the persons extension they get an "invalid entry" message and are bounced back to the main menu. They cannot access any extensions.

This seems to be sporadic, as I cannot duplicate the problem after many many calls into the system.

Anyone have a clue what might be happening?

Thanks in advance

How could we know if we dont know what the people are dialing....

are you using the default intercom numbers..300,301,302

or did you change them to 4 digit intercoms or renumbered them something else...

The system uses extension numbers 310-325.

the DAT is set to XXX for "dial at any time"

I am basing this on the office manager calling into the system and dial her own and other extensions and getting the "invalid extension" message after being alerted by clients to the problem.

This system has been in place for roughly a year.

I hope this is enough information. If it was a brand new install, I can totally see "operator error".

Thanks

thanks for the help...this one was wierd, usually the ds is way stable....

The DS series are stable, but the pc admin is not! Using it local or remote is just not a good idea. Guarantee you if you default and program through the keyset your problems will go bye-bye. They have improved that application some since 3.21.03 but it's still corky!

Make sure you have the same dial action table for both day & night call routing mail boxes. They don't have to be the same, but of course dial 3 has to be programmed the same in both tables.
