Hi all
the type of system is a NEAX 2000 IPS
Here is the issue.
If someone (from the outside) calls his extension (1511) which is a normal D-term 16 button telephone the caller id will show on the display before he lifts up the receiver.
Because he sits at a different location sometimes (which is a D-term telephone and a different extension, we have programmed one of 16 programmable buttons (in this case button #4)to have his extension (1511) show up and ring on this button.
The problem is when someone calls into his extension and he is sitting at the "other" extension, the caller id does not show up in the display until he presses button #4. He wants it so he can see the caller id info so he can see who is calling before pressing button #4. Is there anything that can be done???

You can give him a caller ID button, or you can set up the other location to be identical to ext. 1511 (i.e. CM 12yy, CM 13yy, CM 90yy), and that should work unless it's a DIT number calling.

You could also set it up as an IP Phone, and then x. 1511 will folow him wherever he goes -- where he logs in, that's x.1511. that will work, even with a DIT.

If it's a DIT number, I don't think that there's any other way to make it work.

Try setting cm 08>199>disable, a 1 I think. Then you can press the virtual & see caller ID & then lift the handset.
