Hi all

I have a customer whose phone loses programming whenever there is a power outage, despite having a UPS installed and new internal battery. This is an Elite 192 with voicemail, 4 incoming lines, and about 12 extensions.

I did my bi-annual reprogramming today and discovered that my "normal" trick to make each terminal default to an outside line (set 4-23 to "9" for each port) didn't work. Picking up the handset, it just said "ERROR". Hmm. So I reset everything and try just picking up and dialing 9. ERROR. HMMM.

I checked 1-1-46 and the setting is correct (9->101). All of the incoming lines are in Trunk 01. All extensions are in tenant group 00. 4-19 shows no outgoing restrictions.

What am I missing?

Apologies in advance if this has been answered. I did conduct a search of the archives, but this is the closest message I could find, and it didn't appear to be resolved:

Thanks for any help

Just a thought, but did you assign them to trunk group 1 in 3-03?

I didn't assign them myself, but they were there when I looked. I'll double-check again tomorrow, though. Thanks for the reply!
