Was talking to my rep today and he said that the new ds platform and phones will be available June/July. Anyone know the specifics of the new platform?

The new system will be the DX and my understanding it will be something like the Aspire. Since it is the low end it will not offer VOIP. I sure others in the forum have heard more.

My rep said VOIP will be part of the new platform, but not in the initial release. That will probably be the first quarter of 2007.
He said that T1-PRI has been the holdup - they want to make sure they have it right before they release it.
The new platform will be backward compatable with current DS telephones and will also be compatable with existing station/trunk cards.

I knew someone would know more, they always do.
I hope NEC sticks to their word on not releasing until T1 PRI is ready. They released the T1 on the DS2000 before it was ready and it made us look bad on our first two installs.

STOP! Don't go to 03.22.06 if you have older analog station cards, especially the 16 station ones. And it is NOT on the site. :read: Good luck, KLD --- Been there, done that!

We were made aware of this isssue. The system we were having problems with was a ds2000 without any analog cards.
But thanks for the heads up!
Let us know when .07 is available.
