i have a customer who has a 2000 ips system with regular copper co's. The problem is that when the customer is on a call it will just drop. I have swapped phone,line cord. Seems to be happening on 1 extn. Any Ideas?????????i'm stumped.

Dterm series I have a known problem with this. Basically the switch hooks deteriorate very quickly and if the phone you replaced it with has not had the mod done at the factory then you are just swapping bad with bad. Check with NEC but I personally have changed out somwhere in the region of 600 of these. You should be covered by warranty on this even if the phone is over a year old.
