2 of my users, who have SonyEricsson cell phones on the Cingular wireless network, cannot navigate any auto-attendant menus.
when using their cell phones from off campus, they get kicked to the top of the attendant tree, regardless of keystroke. (makes checking voicemail and updating outgoing messages difficult, to say the least).
cingular says the SE phones send 'very short' dtmf tones (?)
i'm trying to:
1) figure out if this is common 2) figure out what we can do on our end, on the switch, to alleviate the issue 3) if not to #2, is there a list of known compatability issues with some phones/carriers?
thanks,
Fernando

You should be able to change the type of DTMF Tone that is generated from the cell phone in question.
I had this issue once when the gate to my apartment wouldnt open for visitors that called. As soon as I changed the tone type it worked great.
