I've got a dead phone and I'm trying to replace the thing. The phone claims to be a seriesII ETE 16-2. However I thought that the Electra MKII used ETE XX-1 phones. I have a few spare ETE 16D-2 phones but they would not work when I tried to use them on the same port as the dead phone. The system is a Electra MKII. your thoughts

While on site did you switch the phone with one of the working phones? This would rule out a bad port.

Part of the problem is that it is the only one like this on site, all the others are six button phones and did not work on this port. I had a few ETE 16D 2 phones that did not work on the port either. ??

The -2 phones will work with the Mark 2, If your are changing a ETE-16-2 for a ETE-16D-2 you will need change program 1E2.
FYI--The -1 phones were for the Mark2 and the -2 phones where PBX phones (1400, 2000, 2400). The -2 phones worked on the Mark2 they just cost more when they were originally sold.
