Hello all,
We recently had the IPKII installed. Apparently our vendor would've rather we had gone with a Toshiba system as it's became painfully obvious how little they know about the IPKII. I've been able to figure out the basics and am able to hook into the box with my laptop. Anyway, I would really like the programming & the features & specification manuals. how do I go about obtaining these being the end user? Should I have recieved them when the system was installed? or any books for that matter because we didn't get anything but a pdf file print out for the multiline phones and the attendant user guide (we didn't even get a console) Anyway, I see most of the reply's say to call a tech and I will at some point but for now I just want the books.
Thanks,
Deb

Hi Deb
Due to warranty issues it would not be wise doing you own programming or have another company who is not NEC dealer do work on your system. The company who installed the system should have NEC certified techs on staff. Find out if they have another tech (who is more qualified on NEC)on staff. Since they are selling the product I would think they do.
How were you able to get PC pro?

Deb,
I should add if our customer request manuals we do give them with the warning no warranty for program issues.
Keep in mine and I think you already know this, there is lot to this system and a lot you can mess up very easly.

Hi Dan, Yes you're right, there is a LOT to this system but so far, I've been able to figure out most things myself (I'm a tech geek and a half) I'm not sure on the PC Pro...I watched the tech at installation time, got the numbers needed and just plug right into the box with my laptop. At some point I'll be running a line so I won't have to go out in the warehouse. As far as programming the system, I am pretty disgusted with our vendor and their lack of knowledge. They installed the new box, the phones, made sure our fax line worked, hooked up the overhead page in the warehouse and thats about it. When I ask for manuals, they say they're not available. Honestly, I don't trust a word they say because they've been jacking me around so much. I have to figure out how to setup the system so that when we hit night mode at the end of the day, the system answers with OUR recording and not the system voice which it's doing now.

Oh, the way it's set up now is we answer the phones during the day and hit the night button at night. There's a virtual extension (203) programmed on everyone's button 8 (most have 16btn display)that lights up when there's an incoming call. (CAP?)...pretty basic I would think...so basic it's boring. I'm sure they're are a ton of things I can do with virtual extensions...

you can do a lot of basic stuff easily with the IPK II. but the more interesting things you can do with the system are not basic and required some training

Thanks anyways Ray but I already have those PDF files and no, they're not confusing. The pdf file of the programming manual is the one I want...obviously.
And Dom, what interesting things are you referring to?

She has to be certified and given a tech ID to gain access for downloads.
Sorry Deb
