When our voice mail was set up, 300 was set as the voice mail pilot for VM. Is there is a reason why 301, 302 and 303 is also created?

Does VM need 301, 302 and 303 to function?

I think those are the other extension's VM...

The tech who installed that would be the best person to ask.

Yes, if you have 4 port of voicemail, you need for extensions/pilot numbers, even though 301-303 is in hunt with 300.

The FMS/VMS 2 always takes 4 ports, when you need to add 2 more ports, you get an activation key from NEC and turn the ports on in the voicemail.

Th original installer probably assigned those extension numbers just in case they came back later and activated the other 2 ports the numbers would alredy be set.

Now that makes sense. Thanks.

I need two or three mail boxes on VM. And I don't have access to VM. Do you think I can use 301, 302 or 303 for CAR?

I'd recommend that you call Dr. PBX or another professional on this.
