Hello.

I have an NEC Aspire S Phone System and Voice Mail System, but someone in our office accidentally threw out our IP Address and Log In Information for our PCPro and WebPRO Ethernet Interface. Is this "general information" for typical systems, or is it specific? I seem to remember the IP Address that I put into my laptop was something rather familiar and the Log In was XXXXXXXXXXX and the Password was XXXXXXX or something like that. Can anyone help with this information? I usually update my own system, and feel LOST without being able to log-in.

Many thanks!

Edited to remove system log in information.

Hi homestar!

Welcome to the board. The posting of log in information in the open forum is not allowed. Basically it keeps someone from using that type of information to hack into your system. Thanks for your post though. Someone who knows that system should be by soon to offer you some help.

welcome

Your local dealer should be able to view your IP address by way of phone programming.

MacGyver, THANKS for the heads up... I didn't even think of that. SORRY!

Dans, If I call my local dealer, I get a bill in the mail for $100, which I want to avoid. I wish my office staff didn't accidentally throw out our file on this...

Thanks for any help on the IP address!

Are you talking about them coming to your site?
If you are, 100.00 is not bad. Pay it, be done with it.

No, that is a phone call, or so that is what I was charged in the past. If they come here, it would be several hundred dollars. The concern is that I paid to have the NIC card installed so I could go in and do simple updates manually, rather than rely on a service program. I just have to flip a few people's offices, etc... I'm not going to pay for them to come and do that, as I'm used to doing it in the past vie WebPro/PcPro.

Thanks again!

Have you called them and asked them for the info?

You may be under warranty or a service contract and most dealers are reluctant to divulge that info as long as they are responsible for warranty/service contracts.

Also see if they left the CD that comes with every system or ask them to sell you one. The default logins and passwords are on the CD.

Hi,

Dont know if you got this sorted but spotted the post and thought I'd try and give some input!, I had the same problem with our aspire system when I started a position in a new organisation, I'm not too familiar with NEC's so called an engineer/friend of mine who told me most engineers when assigning an IP to the CCU use an end prefix of .20 to your IP's, so if your companies IP's are say xxxxxxxxx then your webpro/pcpro imbedded address would be Http://xxxxxxxxxxx, hope it helps if you didnt get any further last year !

If you are using PCPro the Previously used IP address should be in the IP box when you attempt to connect. Also If you are using PCPro, and backed up the system to your computer you can look it up by opening the backup file

Well, if anyone wants to check this...
from any phone -
****************
password *********
10,12,01 gives the IP address
msg, msg, msg, dial to get back out
for WebPro, default PW is user is ASPIRE, pw ************

I hate it when dealers get all secretive- if someone screws it up, I still charge to fix it...

'Edited to remove passwords'

Well, if you need the info THAT IS PUBLIC DOMAIN than PM me. THe dealer gets a CD with every aspire system. Call your dealer and request that CD and tell them that they are in violation of their license for not providing that to the end user.

Can't the Aspire be set up behind a firewall for remote maintenance of the system/voicemail?
