I have the NEC EliteMail VMP Support CD that contains BRUWin, CoSession, Documentation. It is version Q002 dated 2004. I want to make a few changes such as hitting "0" (instead of "9") for the operator.
Question: Can I load this software on a laptop with XP Pro? How then do I get it to work? Merely plug computer into board?? I watched the tech do it a few years ago but don't want to screw things up merely in trying to hook up the laptop. Thanks

Rick, if you click on search above and enter "Cosessions" you'll find a ton of information. You'll need to weed through a lot of requests for the software, but this would get you started in the right direction.
Good luck!

you don't need to use cosesssion or BRU to program your operator access to "0" what you need is a IPK MAT or Elite MAT software.. or you could simply program it through program 1-1-46 change the function code of "0" to "176" and "9" to "080"

Can you tell me exactly which buttons to press in what order to change operator access from 9 to 0? I have never programmed. What does 1-1-46 represent? Thanks

If you want to change menu options on the elitemail greeting you need to use co-sessions software.
You'll need to install co-sessions (XP pro is fine) and set up a serial connection with a 9pin null modem cable to the serial port on the front of the voicemail. If your laptop doesn't have a serial port you'll need to get a USB-serial port adapter.
Setting up co-sessions for the first time can be a pain, you may want to pay an NEC vendor to make the changes you require, get co-sessions up and running for you at the same time and give you a quick tour of how to log-in and navagate the menus.
I do it for customers all the time.
