Need a little help.
I have two systems connected via T1 trunks. (Nitsuko 124i & IPK II)
From the Nitsuko, I can dial an IPK extension by directly accessing a trunk by dialing #9. If I just dial the extension, it DOES route through the correct trunk but it never rings the extension. I get the same problem when calling a Nitsuko extension from the IPK, except that it looks like the call connected because the call timer kicks in but it hangs up within 1 second.
Now, from the IPK, I can't seem to use the same trick of directly accessing a trunk by dialing #9 first. The next digit entered, after the two digit trunk, causes a busy signal, even though I've enable direct acces for the trunk.
So, the f-routes seem to be setup right. ARS is not enable on either side and I had to disable CCIS on the IPK to get this far.
What am I missing?
Thanks in advance.

Have you done any programming in the 11- range? (system number). That is best point of direction I can give you, as of now all our installs we have left this at default.

Yes, I have setup the system numbering and everything seems to look good there.
As I mentioned, I CAN call from the Nitsuko to the IPK. I just first have to access the trunk directly by dialing # 9, entering the trunk number, and then dialing an extension.
Previously, I actually had two Nitsuko 124i systems "tied" together using T1 trunking but I just upgraded one of them to the IPK II. NEC bought-out Nitsuko and the two systems are similar in their programming. I'm just missing something on the IPK and can't seem to pinpoint it.

Just a hunch but, I bet the Aspire would be able to network.

Ok, you lost me. I have a 124i not an Aspire.
However, I also considered that possibility but, according to my programming manual, the networking capability was only available with the 384i.(??)
It would be nice though.

Figured out that in order to call the Nitsuko from the IPK, I need to add ** in front of the extension.
