I have a customer with an IPK2, 2.0 with S/W V1.6. They are using Off Premise Call Forwarding as follows: DID # rings to a virtual, this virtual appears on 5 phones. Time to time they forward the virtual to a cell phone or other location. The virtual is forwarded pressing the virtual’s LK and code 741, 9 then #. Calls come in via PRI and are set up for Trunk-to-Trunk Transfer. I have tested this and know it works. In testing I have forwarded the virtual to my cell phones (2), my office phone, and my house; each one will ring enough to allow the call to go to VM and allow a message to be left. The problem is the call going to one particular cell phone, the call disconnects before the cell phone’s VM will answer. This cell does ring longer than most before transferring to VM, about 20 seconds. Is there a solution within the IPK2?

Check the settings in 24-02.

I checked to verify and, all settings in 24-02 are default.
Also when this off premise call is connected a conversion can continue or VM can be left. With the exception of this one cell phone. The call can be ansewred for conversation, but not ring long enough to hit VM.

That might be the problem...If the calls ring past the timer. Thew call will either go to the internal VM or disconnect...try extending the timers in 24-02...not sure which one...I think the Inward recall.

I know a certain service provider that when an incoming call goes un-answered, the line returns a busy.
I agree with vad60, this does not appear to be something the IPK II can fix.

That's what I thought, a cell phone problem. I will probably play with the timers just to see; before giving them the "too bad". If something works I'll post it. Thanks.
