Are calls being dropped when the business makes or receives the call - or both? How often does it happen? How long are they on the call before it is dropped, and is it always the same amount of time or is it random? Are the calls to the same areas? What kind of lines are they? Any answers would help to isolate the issue....good luck!

I can't count the number of times after a new system install we received complaints of calls dropping. When you arrive on site and start asking questions you come to find out 1 call dropped, but they want to make sure its not going to happen again and also confirm nothings wrong with the system. They are like new parents.

Check your Trunk Card..... the earlier version of the cards ended with the alpha-numeric A1 (e.g., DX7NA-8COIU-A1).. some of those cards had issues... where we were swapping them out with DS2000 trunk cards. Currently there is a new version of the DSX trunk card ending with B1. These cards appear to be more stable.
Last week I replaced an original A1 card (because of lines dropping) with the B1 card. No further issues have been reported.
The A1 card most likely is still under warranty.

Again, check your trunk card and see what version it is. The A series cards had some issues with this.
And it certainly wouldn't hurt to have the switch at software version 2.11. 2.14 is the latest and greatest but it is still considered a field test version.
Have you checked for CPC from the telco? Some telco's give strange signaling that can make the switch think it has received CPC when it actually has not. You will want to set that timer accordingly.
