Does anyone know if you can upgrade a NEAC 2000 IVS CP03 card to a CP15 or CP24 without any additional cards

If you go to a CP24 CPU, you will need a new cabinet (8 port slots verses 4 port slots). Most LT cards will run on the IPS. Cards like AP00 will need to be replaced. Going to a CP15 makes little sense. Hope this helps.

The reason I ask about an upgrade is I have been trying to get Caller ID to work on a my current IVS system which I believe is software version 1500 but it is not supported. The caller ID shows once the phone is picked up only. I have another post about this in here. From my understanding it isn't supported so if I could do a CPU upgrade and get this feature up and running that would be the best solution. Thanks to your information I know the CP24 wouldn't be the best solutions as I dont want to get a new cabinet and I dont want to have to replace any of the existing cards. do you know if the CP15 would support the caller ID functionality I am looking for

You could install a CP-26A which will run the current IPS software in a IVS cabinet. NEC has discontinued the card though so you would have to look at the secondary market.

I would watch out buying a CPU on the second hand market as the software is sold with a right to use only. So you could either be breaking the law or find that having bought the card you either can't get it fixed if it goes faulty or you could find yourself having to pay NEC for the right to use the software which effectively means you pay twice.
