Ok...new issue... Our remote user in Maine uses Vonage for their home phones. When trying to login to our phone system here at the main office using the NEC Softphone he is unable to connect. Is there compatibility issues with running the two VOIP, Vonage and the NEC Softphone, over the same internet connection?
Thanks!

Has this user ever had any success using the softphone?
How have they got their network set up (as in is it cable modem, Vonage IAD, then router, then PC with the softphone...if so, then you probably have a double-NAT problem.)
I don't have Vonage, but I have a similar kind of service for my home phones, and have found that while using an IP phone, I had to set up a switch between the IAD and the router to which my PC is connected.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info...! You're the only one who's responded...dispite posting the same question in 3 different forums... here, another support forum, and on the vonage forums...

Do you have the Aspire sitting BEFORE THE ROUTER? or do you have a software VPN setup?
