Customer has Elite 192 with software version 5.02 and PRI. She wants to allow outgoing caller id for specific phones with DIDs to show caller ID of DID.
What software version for 192 will allow that?

Pretty sure you can do that on 5.02 in Prog 4-62 for stn or Prog 3-52 by trunk.... no?

Ok, I found out the software must be 6000 or higher.
Can anyone confirm for me that upgrading to 6000 or 7000 doesn't require the SAT software and saving existing programming. I think I recall that when version 8000 came out, that is when the data base save had to be done. I think earlier version upgrades didn't wipe out programming memory.
If I absolutely need SAT software for the data save, and reload.... is the the appropriate SAT software available and for how much?
I know I need a MIF-M for the database save, but does the customer need a MIF card for the out-bound caller ID feature?
Do any of you dealers have the 6000 software and SAT? If so, please PM with with pricing.
Thanks.

I cannot confirm that a database conversion is required to go from 5000 to 6000, however, I do know that one is required when going from 7000 to 8000 & then to 9000 ( IPK ).
A MIF-M w/ KMM chip is required for inbound CID Scrolling w/ Call Return, but not for outbound CID by station.
We do not have any software chip kits for the Elite or IPK I products. I always carry a MIF with me to do database back-ups on our Elite & IPK I accounts. SAT version 4.72 is downloadable from the NTAC website, BTW.
Good luck!

Thanks. Send me a PM with your email address and I can help you out w SAT, possibly an MIF-M & software as well... checking into it. D

Might anybody have a CPU laying around for 192 that has software 6000 or 7000? If I am successful with saving the database via SAT, I could swap out CPUs.

I have a CPU, but can't check the software until tonight....
Card says : CPU-B - U10 -700
So I assume this was a 7000 series software from the factory...
Has a KCB800 chip on it if that helps to figure it out before I can check it tonight.

I found a dealer that has the 7000 upgrade chip. However, for some reason in the back of my mind, I think I recall that when upgrading, say from 5000 to 7000, you first have to upgrade to 6000 then 7000. Does anybody know if this is true?

You can jump from 5 to 7 I believe, but not from 5 to 8 or higher without doing a backup, database conversion and restore.
I still have that CPU if you want to try it.
