I am very rusty on telephone equipment. But, i am the one that takes care of it. So, please help me:

1. I setup my system with extensions 301-308. Autoattendant allows you to dial extension. I setup "0" to be an "all call"...and to ring ring-group 600. But, there is no voicemail on that. So, if someone hits 0....it just rings all the phones until the person gives up. how can I setup the system to go to a voicemail box if the person hits 0 and no one answers?

2. How do I setup standalone mailboxes? How do I access them? I want mailboxes for my part timers who don't have their own phone.

I have been using the DS-Series system administrator to program the system. So, if you can tell me how to do it that way, that would be easier. PLEASE help! I am SO frustrated!!

Before I offer advice, a little more information would help. What software version is your DS? What do you have for Voicemail...an NVM or an Intramail?

Don-Bam, you may have a software conflict. I beleive that is what JordonJ is looking for. And some systems don't like some admin software. You may have to program via set.

Good luck.

Assuming you have the IntraMail:

Check program 8005 for box 600. If not defined, set as "Personal", and "Active = Yes"

Overflow to the mailbox should follow the overflow in Trunk Overflow (Day/Night) in program 1003.

On someone's phone assign a "Message Center" key (selection 24, data = 600) so they can retrieve the messages.

This should work.

To answer the first question, the version is 3.22.11. It is intramail.

To answer the last one...I think I just have something setup wrong. I went to 8005 on box 600 and set it to "subscriber"...there is no personal...But, assume it means the same thing? It is set to active=yes. I went in 1003 and set overflow (I only use day) to an extension. It still just rings off of the hook. Maybe I set something up wrong when I setup the ring group? I just did it by going to each extension/station and setting it to ring group 1. Then on the dial action table, I set it where pressing 0, rings 600. Is that correct?

When they hit zero wouldn't you like them to ring a extension? Usually by default 0 takes them to ext 300 the receptionist phone. Another idea is sometimes the voicemail pilot number is 700. Depends on who set the system up. Just 2 thoughts.

have "0" in dat ring the ring group (600) which you can program as a call cover on other phones. If unanswered and you have created a mailbox (subscriber) for 600 then the caller will be directed to that greeting. Assign message center keys to the phones who should be able to retrieve. That should be it.

I want the 0 to ring all calls. I did change that in the dial action table. I also created a mailbox for 600...but, it never picks up.

Make sure that you have "0" going to ring group 600 in the proper DAT. Program call cover ring on any phone for 600. Call in thru the aa press "0" and that ring group key will ring if set properly. If that key doesn't ring your "0" to 600 is in the wrong DAT. If it does ring and you've set up a mailbox for 600 it should go to that mbox if unanswered.
