I would appreciate hearing from anyone familiar with the "Dragon Net" telephone/radio system, as used at the Saigon Embassy, during the years 1968, 69, 70 and 71.

Arthur, have you tried posting this question on the "coldwarcomms" forum? They are focused primarily on the (now largely abandoned) microwave and L-carrier systems in the Continental US, but your query definitely relates to communications and the Cold War.

Their "charter" is as follows:

"A list dedicated to the discussion of various communications systems used by the U.S. military and civilian authorities during the Cold War era"

So, based on that, it seems that your query would certainly be "legit." The worst they could do is simply not answer it...

I don't know anything about dragon net, but I am also a vietnam vet bopper. 1st Air Cav, 2/7, Charlie Company 1966-67. Welcome home brother!
