Hi All, Does anyone know of a method to capture raw SMDR from the SV8100 preferably via LAN (without a call accounting package)?

Maybe something as simple as pointing to a PC running hyperterm or something similar and just manually saving the data files occasionally?

Thanks in advance,
Brandon

Well, that turned out to be too easy. After fooling around with tcpdump to capture raw data from my chosen SMDR port I decided for kicks to try to telnet to that port and there it is- raw SMDR data. It even had the last several test calls buffered.

Just so I understand - Do you have the SMDR license? Or, are you saying you are able to collect SMDR output "somehow" without the license?

We frequently collect SMDR via Ethernet using "puTTy," but we've always purchased the SMDR license...

easiest way I've found is to connect to the tcp/ip address and port defined for smdr with Hyperterminal.
