Company has NEC ElectraElite 48/192 system. The voice mail began to hang on start up and sometimes locks up. The EXCEPDAT.log file records error code
05cc. Does anyone has more information about the 05cc error code.

a few years ago we were running into this happening alot with the the elite 48's. we would have to reset the telephone system. have you ran a database error cleanup with the BRU utility?

The port on the system to use BRU utility dos not function so I cannot use it. I do have cosession program and able to connect to the system. When I connect to the voice mail, system working condition, I do not really know what to do; there are no errors. If I go to the main menu (hard drive choices) and select “repair database” it usually errors out and restarts itself (hangs restarting). EXCEPDAT.log reports error 05cc and/or 09cc.

reset the elite phone system. we found that the problem was the elite and not the voicemail card. can you call NEC NTAC and they can tell you what the errors are.

If your VM starts behave this way it will be gone very soon. As many times as it happened to me it's always have been VM's hard drive.
