I just installed a DSX 80 with Intramail today. I had to use STRF instead of the usual UTRF for some dial action to avoid some conflicts with transfer recall. On UTRF actions the caller hears ringback. Callers on hold hear Tone 1 per my setting. But STRF actions hear silence until the STRF timer recalls or the call is answered. Is this normal? I would prefer not to leave callers wondering whats going on. Thanks! Steve

Why not change your recall timer instead of using supervised transfer? STRF ties up voice mail ports.

As I said I NEEDED to use STRF. There may be other options but changing the recall timer was not one of them. My question is related to STRF and its normal function. Does your response indicate that this is a normal situation?
