I read some earlier posts regarding trouble with remote access via the built-in modem, especially via multiple CO paths. I am having this same problem. Local is OK. If Long Distance I cant connect. I'm using 2.11 and 2.21 admin. Are there any new developments regarding this?

I have never found the built-in modem reliable. For that reason I always set up network access.

Same here. Never really was happy with the built in modem. Always setup remote network access or Remote Desktop to get network access.

There is some argument about port forwarding for network access. So if you can setup a Remote Desktop for access so there is a little better security layer in place.

The Partner ACS had the same issues. It must be a "built in modem" thing.

The NEC Aspire IN-Skin V-Mail has pretty decent built in modem.

NEC says it is line quality issues. Which part of that is true, but the modems are not the best. Have to say that when they first came out we could connect to about 90% of our customers, but now we are lucky to hit 20% of them. That may lay some fact to the line quality issues as the modems are still the same.

One day at a time, that's enough!!!
