I installed an SV8300 at a school and can 4 digit dial to the school district and other schools, but get no talk path. I am able to call another school we just installed and get speech path fine. These 2 schools have the new IPLA cards but the school district has the older 32IPLA card also using the VTC connectors to get to other schools. Can call UM4730 using IP voicemail ports at the district fine. NEC is saying we need to change out the old 32IPLA, but their sales engineering is saying it should work. any suggestions?

Are all systems set to the same compression? g711 or g729a?

Thank you for the response. I found out that 32IPLA firmware A1 or B1 are not compatible with the SV8300. It must be a C1 or higher.

HI ALL !
I'm connecting Unit 1 and Unit 2 of SV8300 system. I have got some problems with system of sv 8300 connecting Unit 1 and Unit 2. I aslo have got some infomation of Unit 1 and Unit 2
Unit 1: IPLA address: 172.16.1.1
subnet mark :255.255.0.0
Sense switch to "1"
Unit 2: IPLA address: 172.16.1.9
subnet mark :255.255.0.0
Sense switch to "2 "
I plug Unit 1 and Unit 2 into switch . then i used laptop and ping to Unit 1. It's OK but still can't ping Unit 2 .
When Unit 2 = Sense switch to "1" ,ping Unit 2 OK.
How to set it up? Can you show me a new solution as soon as possible? can you send user guide and doccument to connect Unit 1 and Unit 2?
