Looking a a Landmark(SW Bell) system, DKS 1224, having transient problems with seizing CO lines, and not releasing them unless the power is cycled. I find little on the WEB to help. System is ten years old. I'm a guy that dosen't believe in deep sixing stuff unless there is no other way, or unless there is no future in trying to repair. Would appreciate hearing from techs with some knowledge of Landmark....in 20 years, only the second one I've seen. Thanks. R

Don't know the system, but are you absolutely sure that you're getting the disconnect signal from the CO? That means that it may not be the system at all.

Equipment that sporadically seizes lines and only released by a power cycle! It's time for the recycler! It was cheap, sold by many of the houses and was the system of choice for slammers. It's claim to fame was the licensing rights it had to use the SW Bell name.

Although it is a cheap system, it was a study little system. Sounds like it is time to replace it.

Call 866-451-4545. See if they have any SWB Landmark KSUs or call 800-766-3425. Replace the KSU.
Or, replace the whole system with a new system of your choice.

This was a Tecom system and actually pretty reliable. Reinitialize it and if that doesn't work then pick one up from your refurb house of choice if the customer doesn't have much money.

I seem to recall that this system was made by the same people that made the Sprint Protoge'. You might want to check with someone who knows those systems and have better luck finding something that is compatible.
I know that a lot of Northcom and TIE systems had interchangeable KSU's, along with many other brands.
