I have an Electra Elite IPK phone system with DTH phones attached. I have one phone that has a flashing red feature light. It is an 8btn phone. Everytime trying to call the phone internally, you get an error on the screen of the calling phone. I looked in several places in the programming manual to resolve this, but not sure where else to look. Again this is a phone with a steady flashing red feature key and you get an error with busy signal when calling it from another internal phone. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I agree with 'conxtel'. It sounds like the extension has been call forwarded to something that does not exist.

From that phone, press Feature+4, it should say somthing like: (xxx=TEL yy). xxx=Ext. Number, and yy=Port Number. Check MB 4-10, enter yy=port and Dial Ext. Enter. Also Check Btn Programming,if it was a 16 btn phone and you put 8 btn phone in its place it may be trying to use a feature and it has no btn there, like LK 9-16.

I canceled any call forwarding and or DND. Feature key still flashes steady. I also checked MB 4-10 and the station and port information are correct although before I posted my original message I had found another port with the same station number, but I changed it to something else. It didn't fix the issue. I also checked the btn programming. It shows correctly with only 8 btns programmed. Any other Ideas? Could it be a bad port?

It could also be a duplicate extension assignment. Check memory block 4-10 for a duplicate extension assignment on all station ports.
