Customer has Aspire M with T-1 service from Telco and DIDs. Their main DID is pointed to a Virtual Extension at the Receptionist's desk. She want to call forward off-premise the VE to an answering service.

The book says VE's can be forwarded of prem, but doesn't give instructions on how to accomplish it.

We tried using the *46 after pressing the VE assigned button, but get an error. I've checked COS to ensure off-prem forwarding is allowed. They have no problem forwarding their individual stations off site to their cell phones.

How do we forward a VE ??

Customer wants to be able to press a button. Day time she answers the calls, at night forward them to the answering service.

I know it's done in the IPK II with service code 790. How does the Aspire do it?

Create a new virtual that is fixed call forwarded to the answering service number.
Build a new DID translation table where the main number is pointed at this virtual.
Build a service mode around this table entry.
Program a night service button on the reception phone.
