Does anyone know what has changed in version 3.00 that might affect the way netlink works.
I have Netlink working at many sits now but just recently (Since v3.00) Netlink seems to have some wierd issue
The issue i have is that the main system seems to connect to the secondary but the secondary will just sit there with the cards failing to start.
This is a second site with a simular issue.
NEC Aust are looking into it but i would like this solved ASAP

We are up to 3.13 here. I bet that would help your issues.

This sounds like similar problems to we have had here in NZ. Another common one is remotes restarting and when they come online there is no speech with a DSP resource alarm in the alarm logs. There is a R3.01 available which fixes the DTMF receivers lockup problem but no known Netlink fixes though the Ozz TAC did suggest that systems should be upgraded to V3.00 if you have problems..
I suspect that Netlink is still a work in progress plus the network used for Netlink is very picky in how it is setup.. There is not much tolerance the data side of things ..

Problem fixed
So it seems that there is a HUGE Data send when the systems are first connected. (well i guessed there was some load) anyway it therefore needs HUGE bandwith (havent wasted any more time to see how much) It maybe that if any packets are lost they are not re-requested and so its screwed!
This huge data send in my view is more than it was in previous versions.(Never had an issue before)
drbpx: i was told once that AUS versions come out after US has released them to real world so that changes can be made before they are released here. In conclusion 3.13 there could be 3.00 here! (but maybe someone else knows more on this?)

i have the same issue. a 3 site V3.00 netlink setup and one of the remote nodes will take forever to load after loss of network. it just cycles through trying to load the cards but just will not load them. one attempt to get it to fire up i pulled an 8DLCA from the remote node giving me issues, and deleted the card from the main system, reinserted the card and the bloody thing fired up! but the issue still remains.............

As R4.00 has just been released in Ozz you may want to upgrade as there were some changes to Netlink in the way packet loss is managed. It may be effecting your site. Also do a port count and make sure that you have not exceeded your license especially if it was installed while the 60 day demo was running. I've seen several cases of that here..

yeah cheers for the reply paulw. it is licensed for 256 port capacity. i ran ping plotter over the link while the remote node was trying to connect, it was pretty much flat lining at around 76ms whilst it was TRYING to connect. i called tac the other day and they told me R4.00 isnt available to me yet, probably in a week time......

Hi Pallen,
It's on the KISS 8100 download section but no manuals at this stage.. PCPro 4.00 still has a bug in PRG 15.20 in that the labels on the buttons of DT750 default to their DSS numbering when you change something in 15.07 and upload..
