Trying to get a simple email notification from a mailbox. Followed the steps as per NEC and nothing. Anyone done this before? I set up the system config email settings as well as the subscriber email settings....Help!

you have to enable your SV8100 InMail logging and from there you can figure out why the inmail is not sending the email. you have to use Hyperterminal to do so using the VMUAID comands.

Do you have licences for UM loaded to the SV8100?
If so, all that is needed on a UM8000 is to setup the post office in the UM, Access Options & delivery address in each mailbox.
Then the exchange server hase to have an account built to send from and allow relay from the UM8000 IP address.

What revision software are you using? I assume you are using 3.0 or higher, Also Check your Subnet and Gateway, It can happen
