This PBX is in Atlanta and a DID terminating into it is (678) 244-4444 (eliminated numbers). When forwarding from outside the location into the location, for instance forwarding 678-210-0000 to 678-244-4444 a fast busy is received when calling 678-210-0000. Naturally you can call 678-244-4444 directly.

I've troubleshot this with the carrier and the difference between the direct call and a forwarded call is that the redirected number is sent in the ISDN message. The rejection from the PBX is, "Service or option not available, unspecified."

The carrier says they can not turn off the redirection information. Any ideas?

I assume you are terminating the first number to a virtual ext, then setting that station cfd-all to the second number? If so, try doing a cfd no/ans instead of cfd-all for the virtual number.

You have checked CM360?

The numbers I posted were just examples, but the DID terminates directly to a station, no conversion or anything. The number being forwarded is being forwarded from the carrier.

So the call coming to your IPS is being fwd by the carrier...?

I suspect a carrier issue then. The PBX should treat the call identically, it doesn't know the call cam from a fwd number. laugh

My argument exactly. They've sent me call captures and the difference between a completing call and a failed call is that they send forwarding information on a failed call, but they say this can't be turned off, but rather I have to make an adjustment, which was unnecessary on the previous carrier, to account for the additional information. I've not found anything in the command manuals referencing this.

Okay, This is a DID (wink start or PRI), so the call should be sending DNIS digits, and if there's a message prior to DNIS that does not match the IPS, the IPS rejects it.

Okay. So what you need to do is to set up something to receive those digits. If it is sending the redirect info as known digits, you can use CM7600/7601 and/or CM200 to route those calls.

If it's sending garbage or unknown digits, you can use CM 08>032>1 and CM5106/5107 to set a default destination for the calls.
