Hi all.
I landed a new gig as IT Manager @ an arena in Stockton.
Anyhow im incharge of IT and Telecom.
Have little exp. with phones.
They have a NEC 2000 ISP and using MATWORX 10.0 on a xp machine.
I need to figure out how to setup analog lines for vendors....
Is there a quick way to find out which is analog ?
How do I setup a simple analog line????

Best thing to do is call in a NEC certified tech on that system.

Command EC0>ext It might be command EC2 Will show you a little. I forget exactly but I think if it comes back
0 10 0 It is a digital phone onhook
0 10 1 It is a digital phone off hook (busy)
0 00 0 It is ANALOG on hook.
0 00 1 It is ANALOG off hook
If none of this makes sense then don't read any further and call your dealer
First you have to identify what and where the cards are in the system.
Command 10 is extension programming and the ports go from left to right. 000-063 is first cabinet 100-163 is second cabinet and so on to 763 in the eighth cabinet. Cabinets go bottom to top left to right.

There has to be an extension number in command 10 or 14. Command 14 is 5 digits but the same as command 10. 01114 in command 14 is 449 in command 10. I think it gets a little sketchy

This is a end user forum, if they are asking how to set call forward on their phone or anything in that nature so be it, but your giving out free information that cost NEC dealers lots of money to train their techs.
This guy landed a big gig so let him pay the bill for training, we did.

Matt, your certified NEC dealer can set it up for you to attend training as an "End User." You'll probably have to spend a couple weeks in Dallas.

what he is asking for isn't "end user" anyhow.. It's TECHNICIAN level programming. plain and simple.
Please call a tech for service and save yourself alot of trouble.
