Stumped by an IPK with Elitemail VMP. I have used two different copies of Cossessions, installed correctly, 1 windows 7 netbook with USB Adapter, two windows XP towers with serial port, 1 Windows 98 PC with serial port. I have used two USB adapters, three null modem cables. With the one copy of Cosessions I get hung on connection. With the other I get success with the software attempting to connect but will either say DSR TImeout or No response from host. I even went to another customer to be sure it was not my cables or something and I get the same result. I can't imagine that all my computers and/or cables are bad. Can anyone offer any ideas on what I may be running into here?

Check switch1-3 on the front of the voice mail car to make sure that it is not set to remote connect. I make sure everyone I work on is left set to remote in case I need to get in and make a small change without having to come to site.

Also, be sure it isn't an LX version of the VMP. Cosessions does connect sometimes, but won't work.

older Vm's connected at 19200, newer ones at 57600, have you tried both baud rates?

Yes, tried all baud rates. Very odd issue. Even our manufacturer support company is stumped.

I had a system down here some years ago with the same problem. It turned out that Co-session was corrupted in the mail. From memory we sent it back for reloading..
