Hello,

My UPS system that backs up my NEC Aspire phone system went down. I rebooted the switch and can receive and make calls but the voicemail isnt working.

I've reset the Aspire Mail card but it still isnt working. When I pick the headset up and hit the msg button, it will ring and can't transfer callers to voicemail.

When I reset the card, the APP (application) light has a fast flash green. In the manual, it says it will flash at a slow green when the application is running. I've shut the system off before by powering down the VM card first and then the system with no problems. Any ideas what needs to be done? Thanks for the help

Sounds like you blew a VM. You will need to get a certified NEC tech out there with a replacement more than likely.

When the card powers up, the flash drive and hard drive light are red. The top led (forget the name) flashes green and according to the manual, that is the light that indicates the card is communicating with the switch. The application light is blinking green (fast green). According to the manual, this indicates the application is starting. When the application is running, this light switches to a slowly blinking green (manual states this could take 3 min). The problem is that it remains in the fast blinking state.

Card doesn't seem blown out to me....Thanks for all the help....

The drive LED should blink at different rates for a minute or two while booting up.
Start looking for a tech in your area if you haven't already.

The card has the flash drive and not the hard drive installed. When the card is booting, the LED light for the flash drive does blink on and off indicating activity.

Is it something that has to be reset connecting to the card through the GUI interface on a computer using a serial cable? Thanks for all the help
