Using my phone in CAS mode attempting to set call fordwarding on an unused extension. (Trying to setup an extension that a customer can dial to reach the tech on call.) I can't fiture out how to enter the trunk/delimiter/phonenumber. The book shows an underscore for the delimiter, but no key on the phone produces that. Also not really sure of what # to put in for Trunk. I can experiment with that. The system is connected to a number of PBX phone lines, and any one should do.
Thanks.

you mean like 9 (TRANSFER)1-800-555-1212 for 9,1-800-555-1212?
It sounds like you need to get out of CAT mode and call a certified tech before you do something that we'll all regret.

1) I'm a technical person, though not a phone tech. I know what my limits are, and I know enough not to do something that's going to kill our phone system. 2) The # being forwarded to will change weekly, so we need the ability to change it ourselves and not call in a tech. every week. 3) I am able to forward calls to an inside extension, but, as stated originally, I can't figure out how to enter the trunk+delimiter+number combination. 4) I put in a call to our phone support co. two days ago and they have yet to call me back. If I can't get an answer any other way, I'll ring their bell again on Monday. However, my budget is tight enough that if I can figure it out on my own, or with your help, I would be grateful.

Ok so you have the extension set up and want to forward it using E60X (probably E600 for all calls) the command is E600 de (extension number) de 9,xxxxxxx (where 9 is the exchange line access code "," is the delimiter and XXXXXXX is the number you want it to go to)
Edited to add... The comma is on the TRF key

Thank you very much. I'll try it out as soon as I can get back into the office.

Len, no offense (and I did answer your question); but one of the rules of technical support around here is "first do no harm." (My paraphrase).
Not knowing your level of experience with the IVS, you can understand my hesitation...
