Does anyone have any common cures for 1 way audio on the 8100 IP phones? system is already 4.00 as well as the firmware of the phones. Just looking for ideas on what to change to cure 1 way audio! Thanks!

1 way audio is UDP blocking.

You need to become one with the Wireshark oh jedi one. seriously, use wireshark to capture packets off the wire to first verify that you are missing the RTP. Then you can take steps to find out where it is being blocked. Does the RTP traffic traverse a firewall or router with ACLs? that will be your culprit. Hopefully you arent behind a NAT, that gets more complicated but it can be overcome.

lol.. thanks chris! The system is behind a firewall and I did all the port forwarding according to the cheat sheet. I also did the port forwarding on the router where the terminal resides but get one way speech on external calls. IP to IP works fine.

Yep..wireshark and a hub. Really the only way to tell.
