Dave you said that Bell.ca is charging $6 a month, does that include set repair?

Mts/Allstream is only charging $2 a month for their "wire watch" program in Manitoba, it use to be a few dollars more a month, but the company that provided the "phone watch" service for set repair to MTS discontued service due to lack of consumer demand.

Regardless of the type of wire that was on site (& installed by them at that time) they offered a service, collected the fees but didn't deliver when it came time for service.

mbhydro, you forgot that Bells wrote the book "How to screw you're client & get away with it" laugh

Here I believe Bell also gave up on the phone coverage, but that was over & above the $6/month for the inside wiring.

I guess that growing up with MTS being a government agency until 1997, they did not do as much with the funny tariffs as the Bell and BC Tel companies did.

Amazing on how a Provincial election every 4 years kept the phone prices in line.

"refused to fix it because we had old standard 4 wire (RGYB) instead of Cap-5"

That's hilarious, Phonenut! They installed that crappy 22-gauge quad, but, now, they won't repair it?

"That can't be right."
