Going through the training online now. Is it me or does the SV8300 line program more like a NEAX than the SV8100 more like the Aspire and/Nitsuko i-series?

It's the IVS/IPS 2000 with a lot added to it.

No more programming through the phone.... frown

You can programme from the phone but if memory serves me right (haven't touched one for a while) one of the login sequence keys is missing. You can get round this by putting that key on a line key during initial programming and from then on you can programme from the phone!

Just did a quick search and there is a new way of getting into CAT mode for the 8300. You dial 'sorry no passwords here'.See page 124 of this document (get in there before it gets taken down)

Actually if you have a retro keypad on the phone, or a series i phone, you can program is CAT mode.

Ok so why you are trying to suppress something NEC is freely giving access to is beyond me! So this time.....

This is installer info & belongs in the installers forum.

(Issue%203.0).pdf

You will need to remove the carriage returns between the two lines above.

See page 1-8

And this should not be debated on an open forum. CAT stands for customer administration terminal so it is user information!
