I've got a customer who paid a technician to install a TDM 8DLCP pack in PIM 02, LT03, so the LEN is 224.
He put the card in the system and took off.
I know the LEN is setup with CM10, using MATWorX.
What else needs to be done to make this card hot? No virtual ports are used at this stand alone site.

By the way, the LEN was 01024, not 224. It's in the PIM 02. Not sure where he came up with the 224.

224 would have been the LEN in older releases of the IPS. In those releases, LENs were XYY where X = PIM and YY is 00-63.

At a certain point, NEC started using form 14 and a len that goes XX YYY where XX is the Firmware Processor Number and YYY is 000-127 (and higher in even later releases.

So 224 in form 10 and 01024 in form 14 would point to the same port - third cabinet, fourth card, first port. You probably meant 223/01023, because the system counts from 00/000, at 8 ports per card.

Two cabinets per Firmware Processor, first two cabs have their Firmware on the Main Processor.

Hope that helps.

The LEN chart in the book shows the Firmware processor to be 01, and it's the forth card over from the left. The book says the LEN is 01024. When all else fails read the books.

Fourth card first port. That would be 01 024 or 224 depending on whether you look at program 14 or 10.
